The Student Workbook is an integral part of the lessons. Students launch into the activities by naming and illustrating a personal, short-term goal, and the lessons that follow enable students to reach their goals through responsible decision making, identifying and managing emotions, and effective communication.
Cooperative learning designs promote bonding through skits, role-plays, and games. Information and activities on the negative health effects of alcohol and tobacco use, as well as the safe use and handling of prescription medications, provide a reference during and after the completion of the course.
Handouts and takeaways are incorporated into the workbooks to minimize reproduction costs.
